A PHOTO GALLERY OF JAPAN
DURING THE KOREAN WAR.
INCLUDES JOHNSON AND YOKOTA AFB

This huge pictorial coverage of Japan shows the almost peaceful, unaffected lifestyle of the Japanese people, the beautiful countryside, and the everyday life of the Airmen who lived at Yokota and Johnson Air Force Base. There are many photos of these bases, which were previous Japanese airfields. This was the home to hundreds of B-29's who left here, bombed North Korea, and returned here. I have left the photos without captions as most of them are self explanatory. All photos were taken by Wayland Mayo.
